MISSION:
Charity ride from Darwin to Adelaide to raise awareness of past, present and future outback youth.

Proceeds from the ride will help support the Isolated Children's Parents Association (ICPA)

This ride will celebrate achievements of explorers, early settlers, outback droving legends and aboriginal
stockmen and women.
Raise the awareness in the Australian Community of the importance of the horse and horsemen in the development of the Outback.

We will be promoting and assisting

• • Families/sole parents/women
• • Education


ROUTE:
Ride from Darwin to Adelaide through adjoining stations to follow stock routes and early explorers tracks wherever possible.

TIMING:
Start 7th July 2002 at the National Polocrosse Championships. Finish Adelaide 10th August

DURATION:
Total distance 3400km. Total time 5 weeks.

PARTICIPANTS:
Core Riders
20 riders will be selected. All riders must be self contained. They will be accomplished riders with own horses, transport. 4C Stockmans Horse Mix and Cool Fuel Copra for all core riders will be provided and must be used as the main component in the horses diet. Old Mac’s Multipurpose Horse Boots will also be provided and must be worn for the duration of the ride.

Guest Riders
Guest riders will be invited to join the ride and associated functions along the route.

COST:
Core Riders. $500 per head
Guest Riders. $20 per head per day
This money will be donated to the I.C.P.A.

AGREEMENTS:
All riders to sign participation agreement, to have health cover, and insurance. No dogs will be allowed.

SPONSORSHIP:
4C Stockmans Horse Mix andCool Fuel copra will be provided.
Old Mac’s Multipurpose Horse Boots will be provided to all core riders.

INSURANCE:
All core riders and any others riding more than two days, will be required to join Bundy Coast & Country Riders Club ( ATHRA affiliated). As an official ATHRA club event, all riders and the club are covered by the ATHRA Public Risk Liability and Accident Insurance Policy.
